Audible Timer is a count down timer (up to 60 minutes) for the iPhone that counts down the time using one of two voices.   Utilising the built-in speaker or headphones of the iPhone or iPod Touch, the remaining time is spoken at configurable intervals.  The application has been designed to operate whilst in your pocket or in a waterproof case.  It is particularly useful for sporting activities such as running, cycling or sailing.  Audible Timer is available on the iTunes App Store for £1.19 ($1.99)

• Option to count up when the count down reaches 00:00
• Option to allow you to shake the phone to create a random count down start time
• The interface can be fixed in either landscape or portrait mode
• To stop the timer requires a swipe similar to that used to unlock the phone, this helps prevent accidental stopping of the timer if you are using it for sporting activities or you have placed the phone in your pocket
• Option to turn on a ticking sound for every second
• Device can be locked whilst the voice counts down
• Touching the screen whilst the device is in your pocket or on your arm will trigger the voice.  This is particularly useful if you need to know the time remaining at any point during the count down or if you wish to know the duration since the timer reached zero if the timer is configured to count up on start.
