Thanks for you comments. I have added some more information to the FAQ which should help clarify the current functionality which nearly does what you want. In the next update I will make it so that the spoken intervals apply to counting up as well as down.

Nice app, works well, especially like the voice settings. One feature request though. Can you please add the voice settings for the count-up timers as well? This would be wonderful for things like running where it would be great to hear in the headphone when you reach a specific time without having to watch the screen. I have other similar uses where the voice on count-up would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the feedback Roger. I completely understand what you are saying about the "starting sound". When I originally designed the app it was for sporting events like running, cycling, sailing etc where you have a "start" count down to begin a race, hence the starting sounds. However it now has a much wider user base and people seem to be using it for lots of things. I could add a few more sounds for stop and end in addition to those that are there and call it "trigger sound" instead of starting sound if that helps?

On your second point, are you asking for a "Resume count down" from where you stopped it, or are you asking for it to restart counting from the beginning. If its the latter, then if you double tap on the reset button, it will start counting from the initial time again. If its the resume option, I can add another button for that. Let me know

I use this app quite a bit. I also know 2 others that have and use this app, but we all find 2 things to be a bit ODD. This is a count down timer, yet on settings page you have a selection bar titled 'STARTING SOUND' with a choice of start, go, begin, and alarm. Well it should be 'STOPING SOUND' with perhaps FINISH , STOP, END. The only thing we can think of that you would use a count down timer to start somthing is in launching a rocket! The only thing I have seen someone use a count down timer for is to time an event to it's finish, as in say a football game or a school test ect.ect. The other point is it would be great if you would add another option other than RESET and that would be RESTART. There are many times that you may want to stop a count down for some reason, but want to restart from where it was stopped.Your app is very good but could be PERFECT with a few fixes.

Thanks and Blue Sky's

Nice app,but is there a way to keep the ticking sound off ?
I put it in the off position in settings page, but when you exit the
app and then open the app back up, the ticking mode goes to
'on' . All OTHER settings stay where you want when exiting
and reopen. Can you fix this ?

Thanks

I love the audiblility of this timer! Please make it loop. I'm trying to use it along with the "pomodoro" technique for staying on task.
